Richard F. Della Fera has been a Fort Lauderdale lawyer for almost 20 years. He has become renowned in the industry mainly because of his stellar winning record. Find out how he got into the law profession, and discover his skills and passion beyond criminal law defense.
His BackgroundBorn in Wilmington, Delaware, Della Fera actually has a knack for music. He went to The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and received a BA in Classical Guitar Performance. Until today, he plays music professionally. For him, music transforms society by artfully communicating both individual experiences and shared cultures.

After studying music, he pursued another passion: law. He attended the St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida on an academic scholarship. While in law school, Della Fera was appointed Senior Article Editor for the St. Thomas University Law Review and was elected to membership in the honorary law fraternity, Phi Delta Phi. With his skills in research, writing, and oral advocacy, he became a member of the STU Moot Court Board.

His commendable academic performance and active involvement in those organizations are among the reasons why he was included in the “Who’s Who of American Law Students.” To top it all off, he graduated cum laude and in the top 5% of his graduating class (J.D.) in 1995.

He has been a partner with Entin & Della Fera, PA of Fort Lauderdale, FL since 1998. He has had clients from the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach, FL Metropolitan Statistical Area, the rest of Florida and the U.S., the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.

How Law and Music Collide

Della Fera merges his two passions by making law as accessible and as representative as music. He also believes that like music, law must be in tune with the principles of society and adapt to reflect evolving beliefs, especially as we become more democratic and diverse.

He is convinced that law and music are the keys to maintaining a fair and free society, so he gives his full commitment to his work, whether in a court of law or on a musical stage. He takes it upon himself to give voice to every person who asks for his aid.
